Wendy Galarneau
Director of Children's Ministry
Wendy Galarneau serves as the Director of Children's Ministry at Canyon Creek. A mom, volunteer, and long-time member, she brings inclusive and innovative ideas to meet every child where they are and help them connect to their faith. Now in her third year of teaching Sunday School, Wendy is passionate about education and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Education at UNT. She is committed to growing Canyon Creek’s Children’s Ministry organically—with creativity, care, and a heart for joyful, faith-filled learning.
Emma Schlebach
Director of Children's Music
Emma Schlebach leads our Children's Covenant Choir for 1st through 5th graders. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education with a Minor in Spanish from Oklahoma State University. Ms. Emma brings a welcoming energy grounded in faith and inclusion. She curates amazing musicals and creates wonderful opportunities for learning and growth among our kids.

Our Sunday School Ministry Team
Infant - 5th Grade
The Children's Ministry team is a joyful, dedicated group of leaders who are passionate about helping kids experience God’s love in real and meaningful ways. We create welcoming spaces where children—infants through elementary—can wonder, explore, play, and grow in their faith.

With a heart for nurturing both curiosity and compassion, our team designs age-appropriate experiences that help children engage with Bible stories, build friendships, ask big questions, and discover how deeply they are loved by God. Whether through storytelling, music, crafts, or hands-on activities, we guide children as they take their first steps on a lifelong journey of faith.

Above all, we believe that each child is a beloved creation of God. It is our joy and calling to walk alongside them as they learn, grow, and shine.

Inclusion
We are seeking a teacher to help facilitate an inclusive approach to Sunday mornings. This person will help coordinate volunteers to assist students with special needs as they go through the morning alongside their peers. We want ALL children to feel welcome, seen, loved, valued for who they are, and know that their needs will be met.
