Children's Ministries
Sunday School
Our Sunday School is designed to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children can develop a strong foundation in their faith. We believe that meaningful friendships and connections are an essential part of spiritual growth, and that’s why we strive to create opportunities for children to develop relationships with their peers and leaders. Our programming is tailored to meet the needs and interests of children from preschool through fifth grade, and our wonderful teachers are dedicated to making learning fun and engaging.
Children's Music
Our layered learning approach on Sunday mornings helps empower kids to connect in their own unique way! With three children's music classes, we teach kids how to be apart of worship & why we worship through music.
We begin with Early music for our toddler-preschool group. Then they move up to Cherub Choir for K-2nd grades. Our 3rd-5th grade group prepares them for youth choir, and they will learn to sing choral music, play handbells and other instruments, and have the opportunity to demonstrate what they've learned throughout the year.
Kids Who Serve
As Daniel Tiger says, "everyone is big enough to do something," and at Canyon Creek we are empowering kids and families to move from thinking that missions is an event or a destination, to making kindness a mission practice in our everyday lives.
As a Matthew 25 church we believe that how we treat others matters & that all are welcome at the Lord's Table. We are dedicated to empowering this mindset from foundational stages and up.
Sacred Play
Join us Sundays during Worship! There is no age limit for kids to come participate in this hands on, sensory, and active time of Worship that is focused on helping kids digest and process what they are learning. Play based education helps children to work through their feelings about what they have heard, seen, and experienced, together in a relationship based and community driven environment.
Our curriculum is based in a Montessori and Regio Emilia style and left open ended on purpose to foster creative thinking.
